How to Meet Premanand Ji Maharaj in Vrindavan: Darshan, Satsang & Ekantik Vartalap Guide
Where the ashram is, how darshan and satsang work, what Ekantik Vartalap is, and an honest look at what you can and can't plan in advance.

Shri Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj, a saint of the Radha Vallabh tradition, is one of the most loved spiritual teachers in India today, and thousands of devotees come to Vrindavan hoping for his darshan.
This guide explains how a visit actually works — and is honest about what can't be booked. Darshan and satsang are free. Anyone selling 'VIP darshan' or a guaranteed meeting is not connected with the ashram.

Where is Premanand Ji Maharaj's ashram?
Maharaj Ji's ashram is Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj, on the Vrindavan Parikrama Marg. It's in the Varaha Ghat area, a short e-rickshaw ride from the Banke Bihari side of town.
- From Mathura Junction: about 30–40 minutes by cab.
- From Delhi: about 3.5–4 hours by road via the Yamuna Expressway.
- Cars can't always reach the lanes near the ashram — expect a short walk or e-rickshaw ride.
How darshan and satsang work
There are generally two ways devotees see Maharaj Ji:
1. The early-morning padyatra (walk)
For years Maharaj Ji has walked in the small hours of the night between his residence and the ashram, and devotees line the route quietly for a glimpse. Because of his health, this routine has changed many times — sometimes paused, sometimes shortened. Check the latest announcement before planning around it.
2. Morning satsang and darshan at the ashram
The ashram holds satsang in the early morning. On busy days the hall fills long before dawn, so devotees often reach very early. Entry, seating and any token system are decided by the ashram and change with crowd levels.
Honest advice
Nobody outside the ashram can guarantee a darshan time or seat. Follow the ashram's official announcements (Maharaj Ji's official 'Bhajan Marg' channel shares updates) and the sevaks on the day.
What is Ekantik Vartalap?
Ekantik Vartalap is a personal spiritual conversation in which a devotee asks Maharaj Ji a question. Many of these conversations are shared as videos.
- It is arranged only through the ashram's own process, in person, and the process changes from time to time.
- It is never guaranteed — demand is far higher than the time available.
- It is free. Do not pay any website, agent or person who claims to 'book' it for you.
When you're at the ashram, ask the sevaks about the current process. Be patient and respectful — volunteers handle very large crowds every day.
How to plan your visit
- Stay in Vrindavan the night before. Reaching the ashram before dawn from Delhi is very hard; a hotel near the Parikrama Marg makes it simple.
- Check the latest update on the official channel a day before.
- Reach early — well before first light on busy days.
- Go on a weekday if you can; weekends, Ekadashi and festivals are the busiest.
- Keep the rest of the day free for Banke Bihari, Radha Vallabh and other temples after satsang.
Coming for Maharaj Ji's darshan?
We arrange a hotel near the ashram, an early-morning pickup and a darshan plan for the rest of the day.
Rules and etiquette at the ashram
- Keep silence and follow the sevaks' instructions.
- Don't push, run or try to get close to Maharaj Ji.
- Dress simply and modestly; shoulders and knees covered.
- Keep phones silent and avoid photography during satsang.
- Carry as little as possible — water and medicines for elders are fine.
- Bring a warm layer in winter; early mornings in Vrindavan are cold from December to February.
Visiting with elderly parents
The early start and waiting can be tiring for seniors. Book a hotel close to the ashram, use an e-rickshaw for the last stretch, carry a small folding stool only if the sevaks allow it, and keep medicines and water handy. A weekday visit is much gentler. Read our guide to Mathura Vrindavan with senior citizens.
What to do after satsang
After the morning satsang, most devotees head to the old town for darshan at Radha Vallabh (Maharaj Ji's tradition), Banke Bihari and Radha Raman, then rest during the afternoon closing and visit ISKCON and Prem Mandir in the evening. See Banke Bihari temple timings to plan your morning.
